Inspiring Interviews - San

San is an amazing graphic designer and illustrator. I have been internet friends with her for many years and have loved to watch her art grow and evolve. She is always inspiring with her colorful personality, fantastic wardrobe, adorable little Chihuahua, and fantastic blog!

1. What is a typical day for you? I run a lot of errands outside the house to keep from going stir crazy, answer emails, work on blog posts or freelance projects and in the evening I try to turn off the computer and focus on relaxing with my boyfriend, friends or family.

2.Where are you currently grabbing you inspiration for design and fashion from?

Pinterest! I loooove pinterest. My computer loves it too because I'm no longer saving inspiration photos on my hard drive and clogging it up. ;)
3. How do you manage to keep an organized schedule as your own boss? are there any tools you utilize to help?
I use two programs on my computer - "Pomodoro" for time management and "Things" to keep track of my to-do and schedule. They are amazing and I don't know where I'd be without them!
4. What do you do to unwind?
I love going window shopping, exercising and dancing, going on adventures with my boyfriend and friends, taking photos and traveling. If I don't do those things I go crazy!!
5. You are much like myself and have many many hobbies, what hobby are you currently indulging in right now?
Hmmm, right now I'd say I'm enjoying collecting Monster High dolls, experimenting with putting videos on YouTube, and trying my hand at nail art. I tend to change my interests pretty fast so who knows what I'll be doing in 2-3 months!

6. How does it feel to finally have a comic published? I remember you were working on your own characters and story awhile back for a comic of your own, is that still in the works?
It's pretty cool, but not as life changing as I expected! I think I really dramatized the concept in my head since I was a teen, but now that I'm older and have accomplished it I've realized its really not any different from other work I've done. :) As for my own comic, I've decided to put it on hold indefinitely and focus on other things I'd like to accomplish.

7. What goals have you set for yourself and how to you plan to accomplish them?
I recently shared my personal goals for 2012 here, and most of them are to focus on health and happiness… but as far as career stuff that isn't listed there, I'm still kicking around the idea of writing and illustrating a book for kids.
8. Are there any upcoming projects you'd like to share?
Right now I'm just working on redesigning my website and my comic for Magnet magazine! I hope the website will be finished by summertime… but it's hard to say! Sometimes my personal projects drag on forever because I never stop tinkering with them. :)
